A little help
Print projects can range from simple to complex with any number of variables. Here are a few things that are common to most jobs. Keep them in mind when requesting an estimate:
- Quantity. 500, 1000, 2000? Usually the greater the quantity the more inexpensive the per piece cost.
- Ink. Four color, black and white, spot color? Ink color greatly affects how the project will be produced, which in turn affects the final cost.
- Paper. Just like ink colors, the kind of paper you choose can affect the quality and cost of the project. If you're not sure about paper, you can stop in and choose from a multitude of paper samples that we have on hand.
- Files. Are you providing completed files for your project or do they need "tweaking"? Are there scans or illustrations to be done? Are the files you are providing application files, such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress, or are they print-ready PDFs? All this can affect cost and is needed information to give you an accurate estimate for your project.
